Welcome to Loka. By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Loka service ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You confirm acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy by checking the acceptance box during signup. Your acceptance is recorded with a timestamp on your account record.
You confirm that you are at least 13 years old. Loka is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and consents to these Terms on your behalf.
By accepting these Terms, you make a binding assertion of age. If we learn that an account holder is under 13, we will delete the account and associated data.
Loka is a voice-first language tutor that combines real-time conversational practice with structured task-based learning. The Service uses third-party AI processors to deliver this functionality; see our Privacy Policy for the full list.
Loka is currently in public beta. Availability is not guaranteed, service interruptions may occur, and features may change, be added, or be removed without notice. The Service is provided as-is.
You agree to provide accurate information at signup, to keep your password confidential, and to notify us of any unauthorized account use. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You may delete your account at any time using the in-app delete affordance (forthcoming in a subsequent release). Account deletion is irreversible and cascades through learner-model data, session history, and session logs.

The Loka name, logo, curriculum content (task blueprints, scene definitions, character openers), and software are owned by us or our licensors. Your voice recordings and transcripts remain yours; you grant us a non-exclusive license to use them to deliver and improve the Service.
By using the Service, you understand and consent that your voice audio, transcripts, and text inputs are processed by third-party AI providers. The full list of processors and the data sent to each is in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data to advertisers; we do not use your data for cross-site tracking.
Loka is in active beta development. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months (currently zero for beta users).
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time using the delete affordance described in Section 4.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
